Specific to their stated goals each student will learn music reading, technique, musical styles, transcribing and active listening for their instrument. Lesson plans will be specifically tailored to assure each student receives the instruction they need.
A minimum practice time of 30 mins daily is recommended to achieve the maximum benefit from the lessons.
Tuition is $90.00 per month for (4) lessons per month and should be paid in full the first week of the month. Please do not pro-rate the tuition total. Many months have a 5th week and if your lesson falls on a 5th week, there will be an additional charge of $22.50 for the additional lesson or the extra week can be used as a makeup.
Please make your tuition payment by the 2nd week of the month. Many schools do not offer any make-up lessons and ask for registration fees, application fees or 2 months of tuition upfront; receiving tuition payment no later than the 2nd week of the month helps us keep our payments on a low cost, month-to-month plan.
Note: For new students, if lessons were begun in the middle of the month, the initial payment should be only for the remaining lessons in that month.
Please make tuition checks payable to Ronan School of Music. Payment can also be made through Venmo using @Darren-Ronan
Families with more than one student enrolled, or one student taking more than one lesson, will receive the family/multi-lesson discount taking the price down to $80 per month for each lesson.
One make-up per month. Make-up lessons must occur in the month they were missed.
Lessons are once a week for 30 min. The agreed upon time slot will be the same each week.
To receive a make-up please let us know about any cancellations no later than noon on the day of your lesson. This will allow us to try to use all available time to the fullest. You may call or text your teacher directly, text or call Darren Ronan at 904-514-2222 or call the school at 647-7957 and leave a voice message.
Lessons missed due to a cancellation on the teacher’s part will be made up at a time convenient for the student and teacher. Unless the cancellation was due to a teacher missing a lesson, make-up lessons must occur in the month they were missed. We apologize for any inconvenience, but with a full load of students it becomes too difficult to manage missed lessons from past months.
If you know you are going to miss more than one lesson in a month and do not want to pay for the whole month, but want to hold your spot, you can take the whole month off and pay 50% of the tuition fee. This does not allow for 2 lessons, this holds your spot.
Students who have made significant progress will occasionally be offered the opportunity to perform at local events. We receive calls for performers on a regular basis and will pass these along at the appropriate time. Most of these events will provide the student the experience of performing in a "professional" setting along side their instructor and other students.
